What is Global Warming?

Global warming is the combination of carbon dioxide and several other forms of air pollution that are found in the earth's atmosphere. These pollutants are embedded in the Earth's atmosphere, trapping the sun's heat. This results in a rapid increase of the planet's temperature. The primary cause of carbon dioxide being released into the Earth's atmosphere is the abundance of coal burning power plants in the United States. These factories produce over 2.5 billion tons anually. But wait, there's more carbon dioxide being produced into the Earth's atmosphere. And every individual obtaining an automobile is at fault! Automobiles are responsible for creating 1.5 billion tons of CO2 each year. Little do you know that when your driving your car to your friends house, you're actually affecting the Earth's atmosphere. Although autmobiles are the second source of carbon dioxide pollution in the United States, technological advances have resulted in the creation of cars that burn less gas, and operate more efficiently. Many americans across the nation tend to avoid global warming, but a simple change in motor vehicles can decrease the amount of pollutants entering the Earth's atmosphere. Many people in this country ignore global warming, and belive that it's a false controversy. However, after thoroughly researching this topic, I began to realize that global warming is a vital problem that could deeply affect our planet.

Now that doesn't look to pleasant!
